Welcome Home: Introducing Homie 3D
As Ferris Bueller says, the world moves pretty fast, so before we get overexcited about the amazing things happening in Homie 3D headquarters, let us start at the beginning and introduce ourselves.
Homie 3D is the creation of Jesse Broadhurst, who bootstrapped us into existence over several years (you can read more about Jesse’s journey in a future blog post), working with his prior business partner Jorge De Araujo, Todd Rogerson, and Paul Diamond initially, then Jeff King, Simon Christie, and Vuka Spasojevic to bring his ideas to the market.
Homie 3D has been created to make life easier for those in the market for property, be it residential, commercial, or event spaces. Understanding a two-dimensional plan in three dimensions can be a hard leap of imagination to make; with Homie3D, the two dimensions are brought into photo-realistic three dimensions. Customisable visualisations allowing prospective purchasers or commercial tenants to see their potential property in a variety of layouts, colours, and textures. We will take the stress out of the decision-making process.
We see Homie3D as being the provider of choice for the construction industry in Australia (initially, that is!), as well as the same for the events industry. We want to bring the magic of virtual reality to the home and board room, function space and more.
However, that is not where we wish to finish, that is where we want to end the beginning. We don’t want to give the game away, so our plans will be kept close to our collective chest for now, but we see augmented reality becoming similarly central to our offering.
Virtual Reality, however, is starting to break cover as a disruptive technology that will be taken seriously across different industry sectors outside of the gaming scene. We’ll enjoy being part of the wave, and we look forward to seeing where it will take us.
Hopefully in the future we will say to you: Welcome Home.
